During the Neolithic period, a young maiden was sacrificed to the god Thor to provide rain to the parched earth and ceremoniously buried beneath what has now become known as the Maidenstone. Four thousand years later, the small town of Danesbury, Cheshire, United Kingdom, is rocked by the deaths of two young girls both murdered at the Maidenstone but some thirty years apart.
