Chocolate is rich in minerals like iron, magnesium, zinc, copper and manganese. It is also an excellent source of antioxidants – studies show that dark chocolate contains more antioxidants than acai berries, blueberries and red wine. Contrary to popular belief, chocolate contains very little caffeine. It does, however, contain theobromine, a chemical compound that is very similar to caffeine but isn’t a stimulant.
