As a research tool it has one major advantage over the later published 'Order of Battle of Divisions' compiled by Becke in that it lists the Line of Communications, army and corps troops. Everything is here right down to the Pigeon Service with its mobile and fixed lofts, and the Messenger Dog Sections.
