Incredibly popular for their fast-paced action and deep storytelling, the games inspired a variety of spinoff games and media, including the Mega Man X series that became a core brand within the franchise. From Mega Man X6, the antagonist of the Nightmare Phenomena, fake Zero Zero Nightmare Version joins Kotobukiya's plastic model lineup. Contrasting the original color of Zero, the overall color scheme of Zero Nightmare Version is changed to purple based on the character's appearance in the game. The new Nightmare Version of Zero's signature hair differs from the original with more movement incorporated in the sculpt. The hair part in Zero's original color will also be included and it can be used with the separately sold Zero model kit to recreate many different situations from the games.
