The Georgian government strongly follows the policy of supporting peace and stability in the country and abroad, including military participation. With a worldwide shift of battlefields from sparsely to highly populated areas, Georgian units will most probably find themselves participating in urban operations. The purpose of this study is to examine how prepared Georgian light infantry battalions are to meet the challenges of operations in urban environments. To answer this question, the thesis examines these battalions' capabilities against the most critical requirements, using the aspects of weapons, equipment, and training as a framework for discussion.
