Most of the writers on the literary achievements of the poets of Harlem Renaissance focus their attention on Langston Hughes, Claude McKay, Countee Cullen and W. E.B. DuBois. The women poets of this movement are either deliberately or inadvertently omitted or ignored. Black Women Poets of Harlem Renaissance presents a critical examination of the creative poetic achievements of five women writers during the Harlem Renaissance.
