Students will participate in a variety of popular reading activities such as shared reading, guided reading, and literature circles. They will then play a group game toprepare them to write their own urban legend by discussing with group members the different elements of the genre. The final task is a celebration of what they have accomplished as they discuss and respond to the urban legend magazine in a literature circle.
